Chicago's fastest growing and most active RPG community!

Hello Role Players!

I have started this group to see if we can develop the Chicago region RPG community in a similar manner as the board game community (www.chicagoboardgames.com).

The goal of RPG Chicago is to:
- Aid roleplayers in the Chicagoland area to get into groups that meet their interests

- Establish and/or communicate roleplaying events and other items of interest occuring throughout the Chicagoland area, regardless of system

- Effectively communicate to publishers and local businesses that support the hobby, and gather their support for our initiatives.

What you get out of this community will largely depend on what you put into it. Your input is invaluable to the process!

Please do not post advertisements here without contacting the organizer first.

Evil Fleet Productions presents: Paranoia Trek Playtest for 3/27

"Hello, everyone! Evil Fleet Productions is an independent gaming group with some of the longest running events at Gen Con. We pride ourselves on playtesting our events to give players at the con the best possible gaming experience. ... MoreWe're looking for playtesters who would like to try out Paranoia Trek IX: The Shangr-I-LAA Ripoff. Here is the write-up for the event submission: Greetings, FED sector troubleshooters! Which sector will win the Happiest Sector of the Yearcycle award? Please gather data to assist the Computer in his decision. The Ultraviolet citizens of these sectors have a lot riding on this award, so please do not succumb to bribery, threats, extortion, swindles, mutant powers, secret society plots, assassination attempts, vaporizations, or infomercials. Have a nice daycycle! PC character choices are Wrinkl-Y-HED, Bald-Y-HED, Touch-Y-FLY, Point-Y-ERZ, Scott-Y-BZE, Mcco-Y-DOC, Janewa-Y-Kat, and Weasl-Y-KID. No experience with Paranoia is necessary. Heck, we've even had a player who had never seen any Star Trek before. What we're looking for is people who are willing to spend four hours playing the game, and maybe another hour telling us what they liked - and more important, what we can do to make it better. In exchange, we'll spring for whatever food we end up ordering. We'll probably start around 6 pm. The playtest will most likely be held in Oak Park, though there's a chance it could be in Chicago if that would be easier for the playtesters. If you're interested in being a guinea pig, leave me your name and contact info at [masked]. Thanks for your time! David Wulatin Evil Fleet Productions "
