I just moved to east pilsen and I would like ta start play some rpgs on a regular basis. I have a great space and rules for D&D 3rd ed. and D20 modern. Anyone would be welcome to run something else though. And I am willing to travel anywhere that public transit can take me. I think I would rather enjoy playing a superhero game, if anyone has something of that sort. Please get in touch at 312 961 2401, thank you.

Hi!
It looks like there's getting to be a growth in RPGers South of the Loop. Exciting stuff! From what I've seen there is interest in zombies, superheros, and gold ol' D&D. I don't see why we can't get some or all of these things to happen. I'd be willing to travel to Pilsen or wherever on a monthly basis at the very least. What sort of places to you all like to game at? (Homes? Bars? Libraries? Other?) Would you be willing to GM every once and a while? Which games? What train stop/line are you close to? (Or do you have a car?) (I don't know the area very well) Perhaps we can mash common interests together and create some sort of superheros vs. zombie horde! Also,I've been reading a blog where some guy is creating a D&D setting that takes place 100 years after a zombie apocalypse, maybe we could do that. Thoughts? |

Totally Josh,
I wanna game anywhere and we could even do it at my place near !8th and Racine. I'm in bettween the pink line on 18th and the Rosevelt/State station. Nuts to a car. I wouldn't mind Gming but your more experienced. Maybe we could take turns. I have a few systems but nothing superhero or zombies, which is what I wanna play, superheros vs. zombie horde. Thoughts? Folks can get in touch at 312 961 2401. R |

Hi guys, I live in Lakeview but would totally be willing to take the Pink line down to Pilsen for some zombie RPG action! I've heard good things about All Flesh Must Be Eaten..

This sounds great. Let's do it! How about we plan for some time in April after Easter? Randolph, if you are still willing to host, I think you should choose the date.
Everyone who is interested, give me feedback about what you would like to play. I'd like to see the story focus on the characters discovering, developing, and harnessing their powers. This all just happens to be taking place during a zombie apocalypse. How does this sounds to everyone? Here's My two cents: One of these settings: A) Fantasy zombie apocalypse B) Post-apocalyptic zombie apocalypse C) Magic using (or super powered) fantasy characters in a zombie apocalypse in the future D) Modern day or near future characters in a fantasy or medieval zombie apocalypse (With the idea that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic) With C & D: Perhaps the characters discover that the time travel grants them powers (and creates zombies?)... One of these systems: A) The Shadow of Yesterday - a fantasy RPG that uses FUDGE dice (no numbers, only blanks, pluses or minuses). It is build around the goal of characters becoming transcendent and exiting the story. I think it takes around 7-10 sessions to transcend. B) With Great Power - a superhero RPG that uses hands of playing cards in a manner similar to War instead of dice (you chose what you "roll"). It is built around each session having a five act structure where players take a beating in the first two acts then turn around and overcoming adversity (or zombies) in the end. I don't really like the All Flesh Must Be Eaten system. It uses Unisystem, which I find clunky. The books have great ideas for settings, but no one cohesive setting to run; I'd rather we made our own. Another option is that we can all meetup in that area and discuss what we want to play. There's a great bar near Randolph's place called Simones.... |

I would totally host if that is accept for others. I'm not farmiliar with any of those systems, but we should disscus it. Wheres dat bar?

Simone's Bar is at 960 West 18th Street Chicago, IL 60608. Perhaps we should have a meetup there - we wouldn't play games, just talk about games (we can plan this game, and other games as well. It would be a chance for players to find each other.
)Another possible system is Mutants & Masterminds (another superhero RPG). There is a free download of the Beginner's Guide available. I just downloaded this. We could use this as well. |

I live in the Taylor Street area. I'm a bit of an old schooler though being 30+ and only played 3E once or twice. However, have years of XP GMing about 4E's worth of Star Wars RPG since West End, AD&D-2E(Ravenloft and Forgotten Realms) and I just bought Warhammer Fantasy 3rd Edt. Would be cool to meet some older gamers in my area. Thanks!
